PEOPLE in Devizes are holding a concert as a final push to hit their target for the victims of the Waiblingen Way fire.

Residents have raised thousands of pounds for a fund set up by Liz Denbury. They’re only £500 from the £4,000 target.

Mrs Denbury said: “As a last push to reach our target we are having a charity gig.

“The headlining act will be Daydream Runaways with Mike Barham, The Celtic Roots Collective and another surprise guest.

“We’re doing it as free entry but asking for donations because it is going towards the fire victims.

The gig will be on January 18 at the Cellar Bar at The Bear in The Market Place starting at 7pm.

The money will be used to help fire victims and pay the funeral expenses for Ulla Derrick.

Mrs Denbury added: “We have had lots of donations so far. I live here so I wanted to give back and help out.

“We haven’t given out the funds yet until we have more of an idea of I know how many it is to be shared among, as some do not know the extent of damage until the assessors have been.

“I’ve seen the community pull together and everyone has been amazing. I have been overwhelmed by the amount of support
