TROWBRIDGE: Richard Jason Caswell, 37, of Gladstone Road, has been banned by Swindon magistrates from contacting a woman directly or indirectly and from entering Calne, after he admitted breaching a bail condition on Christmas Eve ordering him to stay away from her. He has pleaded not guilty to two charges of assaulting her by beating on August 10 and 11 in Calne.

He admitted an offence of damaging a door belonging to GreenSquare at Calne on August 10 without lawful excuse. He pleaded not guilty to damaging a wall belonging to GreenSquare at Calne on August 10 by throwing paint over it.

Caswell was remanded on bail until today.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Rowell Bramble, 31, of Queens Road, has been sent for trial at Swindon Crown Court on January 24, charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply at Swindon on July 4, and being concerned in the supply of cannabis at Swindon between June 16-July 4 2019.

Swindon magistrates decided he should be tried by a jury when he appeared before the court on December 28.

HILPERTON: Joshua Galbraith, 29, of Garth Road, has been remanded on bail until January 15 by Swindon Magistrates’ Court on two charges of driving a vehicle on Soprano Way, Trowbridge, on February 25 with an excess amount of controlled drugs in his blood, namely benzoylecgonine and diazepam.

He pleaded guilty to the charges along with driving a Audi vehicle while disqualified and with no insurance.

Galbraith admitted breaching conditions following a period of imprisonment by failing to attend probation service appointments on September 2, August 22 and August 16 last year. He also pleaded guilty to four further charges of driving a BMW on Escourt Road, Devizes, with excess alcohol on December 26, obstructing a police officer and driving the vehicle while disqualified and with no insurance.

The court ordered pre-sentence reports to be prepared. Galbraith has been told to report to Trowbridge police station every day between 10am-4pm and not to sit in the front of any motor vehicle.

WESTBURY: Tristan Paul Preece, of 26, of Sycamore House, Sycamore Grove, has admitted possessing a kitchen knife in a public place in Hackney Way, Westbury on Christmas Day. Swindon magistrates committed him to Salisbury Crown Court for sentence on January 24.

CHIPPENHAM: James Peter Mills, 27, of Barn Close, admitted possessing two grammes of cannabis in Chippenham on May 31 2019, and possessing a lock knife in Royal Close, Chippenham, on the same date. He also admitted driving a Peugeot 206 without the correct licence and without valid insurance. Mills pleaded guilty to allowing another person to use a motorcycle on Rowden Hill, Chippenham, on June 3 without valid insurance. He was fined a total of £566 by Swindon magistrates on December 30, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85. The court ordered the lock knife to be destroyed and the cannabis to be forfeited. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

CHIPPENHAM: Perry Leonard Richardson, 31, of The Patchway, has been fined £50 and ordered to pay £60 costs by Swindon magistrates after admitting breaching the requirements of a community order made by Wiltshire magistrates on September 6. He failed to attend unpaid work sessions on October 5, 9, 12 and 13.

WARMINSTER: Liam John Kenneth Boulton, 31, of Manor Gardens, was sent for trial at Salisbury Crown Court by Swindon magistrates on December 30, charged with robbing Douglas Rose of a car, a phone, bank cards and other items in Westbury on October 8. He was remanded on bail until January 24 on a charge of failing to comply with a community order made on June 28 by failing to attend induction sessions on October 30 and November 7.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Mark James King, 27, of Glenville Park, was given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a victim surcharge of £20 by Swindon Magistrates Court on December 30 after he admitted using threatening or abusive words and behaviour or disorderly behaviour at Royal Wootton Bassett on April 14. Another charge was withdrawn.
