A MALMESBURY man who failed to provide a specimen of blood after police found cannabis in his car has been banned from driving.

Ben Wright, 37, of Common Road, pleaded guilty to four offences at Swindon Magistrates Court on December 11.

Magistrates heard how Wright was stopped by police on November 2 in Swindon.

Wright was found to be in possession of a quantity of cannabis and was ordered to provide a specimen of blood but failed to do so.

He was also caught driving on the same day on Abbey Row in Malmesbury without a licence or insurance.

Wright was banned from driving for 18 months, and ordered to pay a fine and costs totalling £633.
