A CHURCH in Chippenham hosted a festive day of tea, cake and religion for people in the town who need someone to talk to.
Station Hill Baptist Church ran their weekly prayer cafe on Saturday, but with a Christmas twist.
Around 50 people visited the temporary coffee shop throughout the day in Christmas jumpers as they took part in face painting, Santa's craft workshop and more.
Nigel Grima, who runs the group with Sue Richards, Janet Poole and Liz Ash, said: "We provide outreach to the community.
"We encourage diversity and want people from all walks of life to come to us if they just need someone to talk to.
"People were making Christmas cards and decorations in preparation and others were just having a coffee and chatting.
"We also offer people the chance to pray if they want to do that too. We like to think we're representing Jesus in the community by helping those who need it."
Chippenham mayor Desna Allen was also there to enjoy the festive spirit.
The prayer cafe has been running for around eight years and is open from 11am-1pm on Saturdays.
