WILTSHIRE Police is supporting the National Police Chiefs Council Drink Drug Drive campaign that launches this week and runs over Christmas into January, covering the festive celebration season.
The force will raise awareness of the dangers of taking drugs or drinking alcohol through social media and a number of roadshows in town centres.
The first was held last on Saturday and another will follow today (Friday) from 10am-2pm in Warminster, outside the library.
PCC Angus Macpherson said: “I fully support Wiltshire Police in its determination not to tolerate motorists who take the risk of driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
“Anyone who thinks of getting behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol or drugs will run a terrible risk.”
