A 16-YEAR-OLD will appear in court in the new year after being found with a knife and knuckleduster.

He was arrested by two police officers yesterday, Monday, morning in the Whittle Hall Lane area of Great Sankey

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has today, Tuesday, been charged with possession of a knife in a public place and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court on January 2.
