DRIVERS are set to face further delays to their journeys along Queens Drive this week.

Traffic is expected to build-up between the Magic Roundabout and Drakes Way.

The road was closed by Thames Water to repair a damaged water main with only the bus lane open to get through.

It was expected to finish repairing the main by Monday but now it's been revealed that the road could stay closed until the end of this week.

A Swindon Borough Council spokesperson said: "Thames Water initially requested the closure to investigate a damaged water main, and efforts to fix it are ongoing.

"Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes while restrictions are in place.

"If Thames Water did not complete this work, roughly 10,000 homes would be without water."
