WITNESSES are being sought after a woman had her purse stolen in Trowbridge.

The victim, who is in her 20s, was walking through the underpass between West Ashton Road and Polebarn Road between 10am and 10.15am last Tuesday.

She was approached by two men who stole her purse. She wasn’t injured and no weapons were seen.

The first suspect is described as aged between 17 and 20 years old, white, around 5ft 8ins tall, very skinny build with spots on his cheeks, and had short dark blonde hair and a front tooth missing.

The second was also aged between 17 and 20 years old, white, 6ft tall, with short ginger hair and wore a baggy grey hooded top with the hood up.

The incident was reported to police shortly before 11am and officers quickly attended the scene.

They were unable to locate anyone who matched the descriptions of the two suspects.

Officers have also viewed CCTV footage in the area and spoken to potential witnesses but unfortunately have not managed to identify the offenders.
