WOMAD festival organisers have announced that tickets are now on sale for the 39th year of the world’s festival.

In 2019 there were over 300 performances and 500 workshops, talks and events at the most inclusive party on the planet.

The crowd of 39,000 festival-goers were delighted by an array of artists from across the world.

Chris Smith, festival director, says “Amidst all the political turbulence in the World, WOMAD has bought together music and arts from across the world to provide a haven of tolerance and diversity, a festival with something for everyone.

"Reflecting on 2019, WOMAD UK bought together over 100 artists from over 50 nations. This year we are more excited than ever before to release our early bird tickets, expect even more music, talks and events. We can’t wait to welcome the world to WOMAD.”

WOMAD 2020 will bring more discovery as it returns to the Charlton Park in Malmesbury from July 23-26 next year.

First details of the line-up from around the world will be announced in the New Year, along with details of the usual educational and entertaining range of art installations, talks, debates, science, poetry, food, pampering and activities for the whole family.
