POLICE rushed to a crash on the sliproad of a busy Southampton dual carriageway.

The crash was on the slipway of the city centre-bound Redbridge Road, approaching Millbrook Roundabout.

Police closed one of the lanes while they recovered the two vehicles involved in the crash, which took place around 8.30am.

A police officer at the scene said the low sun may have been a contributory factor in the crash and advised drivers to be aware of the dangers.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called at 8.06am to a collision on the Millbrook Flyover between a Vauxhall Zafira and Vauxhall Mokka.

"Both drivers suffered minor injuries."
