MELKSHAM charity Evie’s Gift has launched an appeal to support families whose children will be spending Christmas and New Year in hospital.
Bryan and Patsy Clover, from Melksham, set up the charity in memory of their 13-year old daughter Evie after she died in January last year after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Since March 2018, the charity has been raising money to support families by covering the cost of two nights’ accommodation whilst a child is in hospital when free hospital or charity accommodation is not available. It also offers financial support towards food and travel costs.
To donate, send a cheque, payable to ‘Evie’s Gift’ to 2 Farmhouse Court, Melksham, SN12 6FG.
You can donate £3 by texting EVIE 3 to 70085. Texts cost your donation plus your standard message rate. Alternatively, you can donate any amount from £1 to £20.
