A VILLAGE in North Wiltshire had a celebration on Remembrance Sunday as its war memorial was re-dedicated following a renovation.
Great Somerford dedicated the monument again to mark 100 years since the armistice was signed in 1919.
Christopher Blount, a local, said: "Our last Second World War veteran died only a few months ago, as did the sister of one of those honoured on the Memorial, so the last links with our village are fast fading away.
"We commemorated the centenary and recent refurbishment with members of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army and Royal Air Force taking part."
