CHRISTMAS will come to Chippenham Pit Stop as they host their annual fair, complete with a rent-a-tree service and even reindeers.

The roadside services will start feeling festive from November 30 when the fair opens for one day only.

Two four-year-old reindeer, Dancer and Blitzen, will grace the day and visitors will be able to feed them.

Managing director David Hatherell said “A growing number of neighbouring villagers are calling it at our Draycot Stores, which supports local producers, or for a meal or coffee in our restaurant, so staging the fair is our way of giving something back to the community.

"Millions of trees are dumped in landfill sites every year but the 200 rented out by the Pit Stop would all be returned to their Gloucestershire nursery to grow on for another year. Families can rent the same tree every year until they grow too big."
