STAFF and residents of a Chippenham care home were blown away when presented by a cheque for £850 by Sainsbury's.

Seymour House, part of the Orders of St John Care Trust, was chosen as Chippenham Sainsbury’s charity of the year, and over the last twelve months the pair have built up a strong relationship.

At a recent coffee morning the store presented residents with the cash raised to date through donations from customers.

In return the home gave flowers and wine to the Sainsbury’s volunteers as thanks for their help.

Dawn Wallburton, Home Manager, said the support from the store had been “amazing” and had made such a difference to the home over the last twelve months.

She added: “The store has said they would like to continue to support us going forward and we know that several volunteers are keen to continue helping out, which is just fantastic. We are so grateful for all the support we have received, and for the relationships we have formed. Our residents absolutely love the Sainsbury’s team."
