A PENSIONER was injured after his mobility scooter crashed into a passing car in Calne on Monday.

The 83-year-old was taken to hospital for minor injuries following the collision at 11.47am and the driver of the car was unharmed.

North Street was closed for two hours following the smash as officers investigated and ambulances treated the elderly man.

PCSO Mark cook said: "We would like to pass on our thanks to all the residents, our local first Responder and passing members of the public who assisted at the scene."
