HULLAVINGTON is now the proud owner of two defibrillators as they received a £1,500 donation from a Malmesbury helper group.

Malmesbury League of Friends donated the cash so the second piece of live-saving kit could be installed at Hullavington Garage, The Street. The parish council covered the rest of the costs.

MLOF chairman David Hide said: “ We are delighted to have helped towards the installation of a defibrillator in Hullavington. We’d like to hear from any other local parish councils who do not currently have one.”

Maggie Bawden, chair of Hullavington Parish Council, said: “ We are very grateful to have received this help from MLOF in placing this life-saving facility in the village.”

Hullavingon Garage's owner, Paul Girn, said he was happy to see the defibrillator installed on the side of his shop, and is covering the costs of the electricity needed to power it.

A training course for the use of the defibrillator will be arranged for January 2020 and everyone in the village is invited to attend.
