A BLIND man has denied possession of more than 500 indecent images of children and attempting to incite a “girl” into engaging in sexual activity.
Appearing before Swindon Crown Court holding his white cane, Colin Boon pleaded not guilty to nine counts of possession of indecent images of children, two counts of possession of prohibited images of children and two counts of possession of extreme pornography showing a person having sexual intercourse with an animal.
Boon, who is registered blind, also denied attempting to incite a “girl” aged 13 or under into sexual activity. The “girl” alleged in the charge was a so-called “paedophile hunter” – a man posing as a child.
The 60-year-old, of Bratton Road, Westbury, spoke to confirm his name and his not guilty pleas.
Judge Peter Crabtree bailed him for the trial on February 10. He said: “You’ve pleaded not guilty. There is to be a trial. That will take place on February 10 unless you change your mind having heard all the information and been taken through it.”
