TROWBRIDGE was featured again on Channel 4’s flagship police show 999 What’s Your Emergency last night, as viewers watched exclusive footage caught by emergency services following the death of local man Jordan Taylor, 25.

Viewers watched Hayden Maslen, 18, as he was first charged with murder following the late night stabbing and then found not guilty following a trial.

Maslen was acquitted of manslaughter, wounding with intent and wounding without intent after stabbing Taylor, who he told jurors had been attempting to mug him, on March 12, 2017.

He pleaded guilty to carrying an offensive weapon and was sentenced to 20 months in a young offender's institute.

In the show viewers saw Maslen hand himself in to Wiltshire Police and crews captured the moment he was charged with murder.

Speaking on the show DSI Jim Taylor said: “He will carry the burden of taking someone's life for the rest of his life.

“Jordan Taylor has lost his life and Hayden Maslen has taken that life. If I was Jordan's parents, I would want Hayden to go to prison. And if I was Hayden's parents, I would want him to be alive.”
