A SHOPLIFTER has been banned from every shop there is – except a Chippenham One Stop.

Cassandra Hugo was given the store ban by Swindon magistrates after admitting two counts of stealing a trolley-full of goods from Sainsbury’s and booze and meat worth more than £213 from Waitrose.

The 28-year-old, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to six counts of shoplifting. Hugo claimed she had stolen the items from Sainsbury’s with the intention of selling the food to buy new clothes. The Waitrose booze was stolen in order to drink or sell to buy drugs.

Magistrates adjourned the case to Wednesday, October 30, for Hugo to be assessed for a drug rehabilitation order.

Under her bail conditions she has been banned from entering any retail premises except her local shop, the One Stop store on Sheldon Road in Chippenham.
