CHIPPENHAM Moonraker Gymnastics have enjoyed a fabulous fortnight of strong results.

Firstly, club members travelled to the British Disability Gymnastics Championships in Leicester, where Teigan Higgs put together a superb competition to beat her personal best on all four apparatus and gain all-around silver and bronze on beam.

During the same weekend, round two of the West Country League regional competition took place, with Chippenham having teams in the A, B and C divisions.

The C team led the way with a silver medal and there was a bronze apiece for the A and B squads.

The following weekend, the Miss Quatro Spooktakular National competition was held and saw Moonraker members hold their own against gymnasts from clubs from all across the country.

On day one, Danielle Armado and Freya Irving French completed all of their requirements to gain vital national competition experience.

Day two yielded medals for Moonraker as Mylah won gold on floor and silver on beam for sixth place overall, while Evie claimed a silver on floor and bronze on beam.

Rosie competed well on all four pieces of apparatus, while Maddie battled hard despite a couple of falls and showed good character throughout.

Abigail finally got a chance to compete this year after two injuries and won a bronze on floor, while Eloisa claimed gold on vault.

There was also a gold score for Emily MD as well as a bronze on beam, while Florrie and Katherine both notched silver scores. Emily C was also in action and again showed her growing confidence.

The final day of action yielded a team bronze for Chippenham, with Eva also awarded a gold ribbon on both vault and bars and finishing just 0.3 points away from overall gold.

Leah won silver ribbons on beam and bars, Ellie added a bronze ribbon on vault, while Millie had a good, clean competition.
