PUPILS who are getting back into the swing of things at St Nicholas School in Chippenham are looking forward to enjoying more trips and outings, after the school took delivery of a new minibus.

The school's supporters have been fundraising hard to replace the ageing bus and are delight4d that the new model comes complete with an automatic tail lift so it can be used by a range of pupils.

"The school was fortunate to have two major fundraisers supporting the school. Sainsbury's nominated the school as their charity of the year in 2017 and this year’s Biddstock Festival donated the majority of the funds raised to St Nicholas for the minibus," explained Rosalyn Way, of St Nicholas.

"In addition, the Friends of St Nicholas have been contributing their time and effort to help raise funds. The children, who have a range of complex needs, will really benefit from the new addition. The minibuses at St Nicholas enable the children to access learning and a range of activities within the local community.

"St Nicholas staff and pupils are very grateful for the incredible support we receive from our local community and would like to say thank you to all our supporters.
