THE villages of Coate and Little Horton held two events in support of the MacMillan Cancer Support. The weekend started with two residents, Chalky and Claire White who held an afternoon tea, coffee and cake Garden Party which also included a raffle draw. This was attended by many of the residents of the nearby villages as well as the members of the New Inn Skittles Team. They managed to raise over £560.00 on the day.
Two women from Little Horton, Laura White and Georgie Price swam 7K of the River Wye in bad weather. Both completed the course, raising over £800.00 so giving a total of nearly £1,400 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
