AN explosion of debauchery and a darkly comical look into the hidden world of the elite, Posh is a whirlwind stage show with a cast of energetic performers playing characters that revolt and fascinate in equal measures.

Turning the spotlight on the privileged elite, Posh charts the intoxicating inner workings of Oxford’s prestigious, private, gentleman’s dining society, The Riot Club.

No strangers to indulgence and debauchery, The Riot Club are back, but on one condition, they must behave. Keep it out of the Daily Mail. Preserve the reputation of the club.

What ensues is one night in the lives of 10 privileged young men and all the flaws that go along with them bubbling to the surface as the red wine flows.

Tyger Drew-Honey, who makes his stage debut in Posh playing the role of Alistair Ryle, is well known to television viewers for his role as Jake in the multi award-winning BBC series Outnumbered. He is a strong character that you love to hate and the young actor take command of the stage for his debut stage role.

First staged at the Royal Court Theatre in London during the 2010 general election and inspired by the infamous Bullingdon Club, Posh’s punchy dark humour and provocative political themes caused a sensation, striking a chord with sell-out audiences and enjoying critical success.

Playwright Laura Wade said: “Power, privilege and entitlement are as much in the news now as they were when Posh was first performed, so it feels like a good time to bring the boys back to the table.”

Posh tours to the Theatre Royal Bath until Saturday (Sept 28) Tickets are on sale at the Theatre Royal Bath Box Office on 01225 448844 and online at www.theatreroyal.org.uk
