Driver arrested
A MAN in his 20s from Melksham has been released released under police investigation after failing to stop for officers on Thursday, September 19 at 10.34pm in Brabazon Way, Bowerhill. The driver who was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, driving whilst under the influence of drugs, careless driving and criminal damage.
Cannabis seized
A SMALL quantity of cannabis was seized from a driver in Beanacre Road, Melksham, on Thursday, September, at 11.08pm. Officers on patrol carried out a routine stop on a vehicle. The male driver was found to be in possession of a small quantity of cannabis. This was seized and dealt with by a cannabis street warning.
Distraction theft
AN elderly woman had her purse stolen by a distraction thief.
She had just used a cashpoint and was going back to her car in in Bath Road, Melksham, when a male who spoke little English told her she had a flat tyre. While distracted, the victim’s purse was stolen. The incident happened on Fridayat 6.30pm.
Cash stolen
CASH was stolen from a bedroom in Romney Close, Warminster, just after midnight on Tuesday, September 17.
Tyres slashed
ALL four tyres on a car parked on a driveway in Swaledale Road, Warminster, were slashed on Tuesday, September 17.
Caravan damaged
INTRUDERS tried to gain entry to a caravan and in Folly Lane, Warminster, on Tuesday, September 17 by
by breaking the doors and smashing windows.
