Alarms triggered

TWO people made off after triggering alarms at a farmyard in Woodlands Road, Mere, at 3.31am on Tuesday, September 17. They were seen to approach a gate but ran when the alarms went off.

Tools stolen

STIHL chain saws, strimmers, hedge cutters and attachments were stolen in a raid at a farm building east of the C305 to Wise Lane, Underhill, East Knoyle,on Tuesday, September 17. The burglar broke a lock on an entrance gate and the security light during the incident, as well as cutting an electric fence which allowed cattle to escape.

Hare coursing

SEVERAL people were seen to enter private land to go hare coursing in Church Road, Kilmington, on Tuesday, September 17.

Medals nicked

MEDALS and a blazer were stolen from the back passenger seat of a vehicle parked on a driveway in Manor Road, Mere, on Wednesday, September 18.

Mirror taken

A WING mirror was stolen after being broken off a vehicle parked in Queens Road, Mere, on Thursday, September 19.

Window smashed

AN investigation into how the window of a property in Bath Road, Melksham, came to be smashed has been launched by police. The incident happened at 3.01am on Sunday after an altercation.

Lead stripped

LEAD has been stripped from the roof of St Andrew's Church in Church Lane, Melksham, at 1.31am on Saturday . The thieves also damaged the church.
