If one major traffic problem in Marlborough wasn't enough there are now two.

Marlborough police say there are long tailbacks on the A346 north of the town close to the golf club caused by a broken down lorry.

A spokesman said: "We are currently dealing with a broken down lorry on the A346 north of Marlborough, close to the golf club.

This is causing long tailbacks, so we are asking motorists to be patient while we help arrange for the lorry to be recovered."

This problem follows an earlier one where faulty temporary traffic lights caused a four mile traffic queue on the Salisbury Road.

People contacted the Gazette to say their usual ten minute journeys had taken more than an hour.
