IZZIE Balmer, an auctioneer from Chippenham, enjoyed a triumphant victory on the fourth day of BBC1's Antiques Road Trip.

Izzie, who is head valuer at Wessex Auction Rooms, added to her great comeback on Wednesday, by actually taking the lead on today's episode.

She started the day on £238.16 after finding her footing after a shaky start.

Her crowning item of the day was a silver snake necklace, which she bought for £20.

At the final auction she managed to shift the serpent for a staggering £160.

This, along with other sales, gave her a final total of £365.02.

Izzie, who has gained a reputation for being a bit 'chair-crazy', had not one, but two, of her 'chair moments' today.

She bought two wooden chairs on her travels, one made profit and the other made a loss.

Her competitor, veteran valuer, James Braxton, started Thursday's episode on £339.32, firmly in the lead.

However, he only made small profits on his items, leaving him with £355.86.

It's all to play for now with just one more episode left to go, which you can catch at 4.30pm on Friday.
