CHIPPENHAM auctioneer, Izzie Balmer, gave herself a fighting chance on today's episode of Antiques Road Trip, with a successful day of bargaining and selling.

Izzie was off to a rough start, after suffering a £12.88 loss in Monday's episode, and a further £3.70 loss on Tuesday.

However, she was reinvigorated in today's episode with a series of smart spending which resulted in a £54.74 profit for the 32-year-old Wessex Auction Rooms valuer.

Her competitor, veteran James Braxton, was firmly in the lead after Tuesday, but is less convincingly in front now after a £4.24 loss.

Izzie's chair-crazy philosophy even spread to James today, as he followed suit in buying a seat to sell.

Her best sale was a gold paperknife, which she made a healthy profit on.

After three days of auction, James Braxton is still ahead with £339.32 in his pocket, but Izzie is catching him with £238.16.

You can watch the last two days of her Antiques Road Trip debut, on BBC1 at 4.30 on Thursday and Friday.
