IT WAS the biggest year yet for the annual Dyson Football Marathon as it has been confirmed that players raised more than £17,500 for Alzheimer’s Research.

Six teams made up of over 80 players played back-to-back football for over eight hours, at Gerard Buxton Sports Facility, in Royal Wootton Bassett back in July, with the final total finally being calculated.

The marathon was organised by Dyson employee Andrew Clifton who said he was ‘in shock’ at the final total raised.

Dyson, based in Malmesbury has supported Alzheimer’s Research UK since 2014, in which time they have raised £268,000 for the national charity.
