FRIENDS Ann Berry and Pippa Smith have done their bit to boost the coffers of a children’s hospice that provides care for families across Wiltshire by taking on an iconic walk.
The pair, who are both members of St John’s Church, Upper Studley, Trowbridge completed 115kms of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, in Northern Spain.
They managed to raise a total of £850 was raised in sponsorship, which they decided to split equally between the church and Julia’s House Children’s Hospice in Devizes.
The friends said: “The hospice provides outstanding care for babies, children and young people with life-shortening or life-threatening conditions and support for their families.”
The walkers have now visited Julia’s House to present half of the cash they raised to the hospice.
They handed over the cheque to Claudia Hickin the hospice’s community fundraiser after being shown around the building.
