ALL I See Is You , a queer history show, is set to launch the new season at Salisbury Playhouse from September 5-7.

The play is co-directed by Wiltshire couple Ben Occhipinti and Mark Powell, and is a rollercoaster love story inspired by real accounts of queer life 50 years ago.

The performance will star Ciarán Griffiths of Channel 4's Shameless and ITV's The Bill fame, the show takes inspiration from those in history who had the courage to be their true selves, offering a message of hope and a universal story for everyone.

Its two central characters Bobby and Ralph play two ordinary lads caught between lust, self-doubt and arrest in this multi-award winning love story inspired by real accounts of queer life 50 years ago.

Bobby works on Woolies’ record counter and Ralph dreams of being a teacher. One kiss and they’re hooked. But it’s England 1967 and their love is illegal. Ciarán Griffiths (The Bay, Shameless) and Christian Edwards (Cyrano, Les Misérables) navigate the problems that the pair face as their love deepens.

Katherine Smith, writer and producer said: "Currently on tour, we've had an amazing response getting five star reviews and winning several awards. After Salisbury we're taking the show to Australia having won an international touring bursary at Brighton Fringe."

In recent Stonewall research one in five LGBTQ people said they had experienced hate

crime in the UK. All I See Is You serves as a reminder of how hard equal rights were won.

The show won the UK’s National Octagon Prize and also won an International

touring bursary at the Brighton Fringe festival and will be heading to Sydney and Melbourne

festivals after the Salisbury run.
