VOLUNTEERS from Chippenham Rotary Club spent a day transforming the garden at a care home.

Residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Avon Court care home in the town were delighted to receive this act of kindness from the charity.

Members of the club got to work with weeding, cutting the grass and watering the plants.

Steve Bryce, Home Manager at Avon Court, said: “The whole team at Avon Court are delighted that the local Rotary club has volunteered its time to assist with our garden project, which will really enhance the wellbeing of our residents.

“There has been a lovely buzz around the home when the volunteers have been here to help out.

"It really has been wonderful to have the local Chippenham community come together for such a great act of kindness.”

Residents also enjoyed a catch up with the volunteers while they took a well-deserved break and enjoyed a slice of cake and a cup of tea.
