Doreen Dempsey turned 100-years-old and was presented with a bouquet of flowers by mayor Desna Allen
A special garden party was held at the retirement complex of Clift House, Chippenham, to mark the 100th birthday of Doreen Dempsey.
Doreen was born in Wrexham, North Wales, on the 9th August 1919.
She worked as a switchboard operator, during this time she met and married her husband Lesley .
Sadly, Lesley died 25 years ago and Doreen came to live in Chippenham to be near her family. Doreen has been a resident of Clift House for 17 years ,over the years has made many friends ,enjoyed socialising and her passion of playing bridge.
The town mayor, Desna Allen, attended to give Doreen flowers.
