FAMILIES in Swindon are encouraged to complete a survey to help the council understand their childcare needs.

And there are only a couple of weeks left for parents to express their opinions.

Swindon Borough Council is working with national early year and childcare consultancy Hempsall's to find out about parents and carers' carers' childcare needs across the borough.

Parents with children aged up to 14, or those with a disabled child aged up to 18 can take part in this survey and complete it before August 31.

A spokesman at Swindon Borough Council said: "The work is being carried out to make sure that the future provision of early years education and childcare places meets demand where possible."

The survey will be used to help plan new services helping children in Swindon and their families.

Responses will be treated in confidence and will only be used to help SBC's work.

Everyone who completes the survey will be given the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win a week's free place at a Draycott Sports Camp between September 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020.
