MORE knitted red poppies are needed for Trowbridge's Remembrance Sunday displays around the town in November.

Last year the town council asked the local community to knit poppies for Remembrance Sunday.

They were overwhelmed by how many people donated their time and knitting skills to help.

Shaws The Drapers in Castle Place supported the event by holding a Knit and Natter event, where they taught people to knit and gave out free knitting needles and wool.

A spokesman from the town council said: "We are now asking for even more poppies for us to display again this year and hopefully we can fill our town even more."

Please drop them into reception by Monday November 4th, at Trowbridge Town Council, Civic Centre, St Stephen’s Place.
