A RUNNING festival, organised by radio star Chris Evans, will not be returning to Bowood House and Gardens next year.

The DJ told listeners on the Virgin Breakfast Show yesterday morning (Wednesday, August 14) the RunFestRun will be back in May next year.

Bowood hosted the new running festival, opened by former runners Paula Radcliffe and Colin Jackson, on May 31 which saw famous artists Olly Murs, Razorlight and others perform.

RunFestRun will return between May 22 and 24 in 2020 after he got the Queen's approval to use Windsor Great Park for the event.

Chris added: "Our first ever one had unbelievable feedback.

"We sent out a festival questionnaire to see what people thought and had a 93 per cent approval rating. It was off the charts. People loved it.

Speaking about next year's festival at Windsor Great Park, he added: "What a venue. We had to go through all the red tape and all the negotiations. The Queen had to give her blessing.

"She said 'yes', everyone said 'yes'. It's on! It's signed, sealed and delivered."
