VOLUNTEERS who organised a fun day in Pewsey to raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance were delighted to raise more than £7,500.
The event held at the Coopers Arms pubs included a wide range of games including beat the goalie and a coconut shy as well as live music and a wide range of food and drink.
But Frank Day from the organising committee said the biggest money earner was the raffle. He said: “We have to thank local shops and businesses for supporting us by giving prizes.
“We would also like to thank the Coopers for letting us hold the event, which raised a total of £7,505, at the pub.
“The air ambulance is very important to Pewsey as we are nearly an hour from a hospital by road so without the helicopter lives could be lost.”
