Wiltshire Council acknowledged a climate emergency in February after councillors debated and voted on the issue. 205 of the UK’s 408 authorities committed to take urgent action to reduce carbon emissions.
Swindon Borough Council have been in talks with environment campaigners but have not followed suit and declared the climate change emergency.
