MARLBOROUGH Rising is back and bigger than ever this year as a host of live music fills the town through this weekend. Back for its second year, shows will take place across Friday, Saturday and Sunday in venues including the town hall, Movida restaurant, St Mary’s church and the memorial hall.
Tony O’Malley kicks things off on Friday night as he bring his contemporary soul and jazz to Marlborough accompanied by a band of up-and-coming soul musicians.
Back from last year’s show A Musical Jukebox is made up of graduates of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts who have all gone on to have West End success and will also perform on Friday night.
Alternative-indie band Flyte will take to the stage on Saturday as well as the Marlborough Rising Talent space for new performers
On Sunday George Hinchliffe’s Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain will round off the weekend of festivities.
Last year Scouting for Girls headlined the show on Saturday night.
