Police are hunting a hit and run driver who overtook a line of traffic and collided with a workman controlling a stop/go board.
A police spokesman said: "We’re appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop incident in the village of Lacock.
"At approximately 1.30pm on July 18, a vehicle overtook a line of stationary traffic on the A350 and collided with a workman who was operating a stop/go board. He also verbally abused the victim before driving off.
"The incident happened near the Melksham Road/Lacock Road junction."
The workman - aged in his 30s - sustained minor injuries to his leg and hand.
The suspect is believed to have been driving a black Audi and is described as white, aged in his 40s, with black hair and of medium build.
The police spokesman added: "We’d like to hear from anyone with information to call 101 and quote crime reference number 54190070243. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
