CAMERA crews and familiar faces filled the Wessex Auction Rooms in Chippenham on Saturday as the BBC filmed an episode of popular antiques series Bargain Hunt.

Two teams battled it out to purchase a set of items that would fetch them the most profit in the auction, and the winners get to keep their earnings.

Director Tim Weeks said they are always thrilled to have the BBC film in the auction rooms.

He said: “We absolutely love it. I have been a Bargain Hunt expert for around three years now, but having them come to our home of auctioneering in Wiltshire, it is just the best buzz going.

“There is just an amazing atmosphere when the cameras are rolling and people coming into the saleroom. It is such great fun.

“It is a magic experience and we can’t get enough of it.

“There was some really great stuff brought in which was unique.

“We had items that dated right back to the medieval period, as well as items from the 1960’s, so there was a real great range of things.”
