ALL traffic is being held on the M4 after three accidents and a spillage on the motorway.
UPDATE: All motorway lanes cleared - but nine miles of traffic on A419
At least five miles of congestion is piling up eastbound between junctions 15 and 14 after a road traffic collision in the queues that formed while the emergency services dealt with two other separate crashes earlier this morning.
The first two traffic collisions happened around 7am and the vehicles involved are now on the hard shoulder.
At 8am, police stopped traffic to clear a spillage in lane three after the third accident.
Ambulance and fire crews are also at the scene.
This is causing lengthy queuues on the A419 and A346 approaching the motorway, with delays of 45 minutes on the M4 itself. Recovery work is underway.
