PLANS have been submitted to create a glamping hot spot on farmland near Marlborough.

Land owners at Rainscombe Hill Farm, home of the Greatwood charity, want to build 15 safari tent style glamping pods over 34 acres in the next three years. The proposed site will be created off of the A345 between the farm and Oare. Neighbour Simon Bell said: "It is a wonderful unspoilt place to observe nature without bumping into too many people. It is hard to imagine what a fully operational site will look like with all its washing, cooking and sanitation blocks and the associated cars, bikes and people."

A decision is due to be made in the next few days.
