FOURTEEN gardens are taking part in the third Art in the Gardens exhibition at Bratton next weekend.

The event is taking place on Saturday, July 20 from 2pm to 6pm and has been organised by Lucy Ellis, from Bratton.

Mrs Ellis said: "The history behind these events is the when I moved here from over 10 years ago I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

"The villagers were so supportive and friendly that I wanted to give back something to the village and fund raise for Macmillan Cancer Support. The first one was held in 2013 and then in 2016."

There will be 20 artists from the Innovation Design Study Group displaying and or selling a wide range of artwork. The work on display varies from paintings, photography, felting and sculptures to pottery, jewellery, wood turning, land art and floral art displays.

Tickets at £5 each and refreshments will be on sale from 1pm at the Church Institute, Bratton, on the day.

A local singing group and Bratton Silver Band will be putting on their Lost Village of Imber exhibition and playing for visitors.
