FIREFIGHTERS rescued a stricken parachutist from the roof of a Wiltshire house.
The skydiver had crash landed onto the slate roof of a house near Netheravon. Fire crews from Trowbridge, Pewsey, Salisbury, Chippenham and Amesbury were scrambled to the incident shortly before 2.15pm on Sunday, after being called by Wiltshire Police.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters had used the aerial appliance from Salisbury fire station to get the parachutist off the roof. The casualty was left in the hands of the ambulance service.
