DRAMATIC scenes took place last night following an incident in Chippenham's Sainsbury's store.
Two men were seen to make threats to members of the public and staff in the alcohol department of the supermarket.
They drove off in a silver coloured car as the store's staff called police to report the incident and give descriptions of the men at around 6.30pm on July 8.
Then officers spotted the suspect's vehicle heading towards Marlborough and a high speed chase to place at 9.30pm.
The vehicle was eventually cornered by police in the Market Place, Marlborough.
They said: "A 24-year-old man from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of affray and a 42-year-old man from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs and drug driving.
"They were taken to Gablecross custody and have both been released under investigation while further enquiries are carried out."
