CHIPPENHAM: Children have set fire to hay in a field off Upper Cocklebury Lane, causing £1,000 of damage at about 3.30pm on July2.

KINGSDOWN: At around 10.48pm on the evening lf July 4, a burglar gainde entry to a home in the village and stole £4,596 worth of jewellery.
Wallet snatched
CHIPPENHAM: A thief stole a wallet from a bench in the High Street containing £70 cash and cards when the owner sat down and placed it there on around 1.30pm on July 4.
Tools stolen
CHIPPENHAM: Thieves have smashed the window of a grey Volkswagen TR-Porter van parked on Bath Road overnight on July 1. Tools worth over £1,000 were stolen.
Thief caught
CHIPPENHAM: On July 3, a man was stopped by security guards in Poundland after a customer in Boots Customer tipped them off over alleged shoplifting. A 34-year-old man was arrested.
Drugs suspect
CHIPPENHAM: A man was stopped on Derriads Green, and arrested on suspicion of being in possession of Class A drugs on July 4.
