AFTER the success of last year’s event, a village fair will be held in Market Lavington again this year.
The village’s Vintage Meet and Family Fun Weekend was enjoyed by 2,000 people in 2018 and raised for £4,000 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance and other local projects.
The fair will take place on July 13-14 between 10am and 4pm, at The Elisha Field on Drove Lane.
This year’s event will feature a 60m train track with miniature steam trains built by West Wilts Society of Model Engineers, which children of all ages will be able to ride.
A variety of vintage vehicles will also be on display, including classic cars, motorcycles, tractors, and military vehicles.
Children will be thoroughly entertained over the weekend as there is a craft tent as well as bouncy castle, fun house, chairoplane ride, candy floss, face painting and sand art.
Saturday will see a tug of war competition while a dog show will be hosted on Sunday.
The family fun weekend will be topped off with a performance by the Wiltshire Army Cadet Force Corps of Drums on Sunday.
