STAFF and pupils at a children's nursery in Devizes are celebrating after inspectors declared it outstanding.
Kate Easter who owns Sixpenny Nursery was delighted with the result. She said: "We are very proud of our Ofsted result.
"Sixpenny works very closely with the community supported local events like the Devizes in Bloom as well as lots of local fundraising. We are a very unique children’s day nursery with extensive outdoor facilities, farm animals, a yurt, our own woodland and meadow."
Inspectors said: "The owner is extremely passionate in her vision and enthusiasm to provide outstanding care and learning for children. Managers monitor very rigorously and reflect deeply on all aspects of the nursery.
"They implement very well-targeted plans to continually improve the provision. Staff create highly vibrant and exciting learning environments, inside and outdoors.
"Children have extensive opportunities to explore and make new discoveries, and are
utterly absorbed in their play.
"They grow into very confident, capable and highly inquisitive individuals. They make rapid progress from their individual starting points."
