A NEW relief road for Calne is set to open on July 27, councillors in the town were told on Monday.
Cllr Alan Hill said the large goods vehicle cross site relief road at the Hills Group off the A4 to the east of the town would take much of the heavy goods traffic off the roads in the town centre.
The Hills Group has also announced it has a new group director. It has appointed Ed Dodd as director for waste and resource management.
He will be responsible for managing and overseeing the waste management and treatment activities within Hills Waste Solutions and Hills Municipal Collections together with The Hills Group’s involvement in Northacre Renewable Energy’s waste to energy project in Westbury.
